Elliptical Calories Burned
With the elliptical machinery you can expect deliverance on the calorie burning front. Because it uses both leg and arm muscles simultaneously, the machine is elite compared to other less effective ones. I’m not saying that other machines don’t work as well, but this machine is made for losing weight generally, and not on any particular muscle.
This is why the Elliptical trainer burns calories excellently, take for example a 180 lb man would lose 450 – 500 calories in half an hour. Do that everyday and you are going to be climbing chimneys in no time. A 150 lb woman would expect to lose up to 400 calories in a 30-minute work out session. Instead of knee slapping soon enough we can be hearing flip flopping as you walk down a sunny beach in a bikini.
Increase Tension to Increase Benefits
Calories burned on elliptical trainers can be pushed even further if you have a machine that offers an increase of tension and makes you push even harder than before, although this comes at extra cost.
Spruce Up Your Workout: Multi-task!
A good technique I find for burning calories at home with my elliptical trainer is watching TV, or listening to music. Time flies past, and before you know it you’ve just shredded some extra weight in the form of 500 calories. High five for me.
