The Horizon Elliptical is not known to be at the top of the list of good ellipticals; however, there are some positive attributes such as their feet holdings - they are comfortable which means you might stay on longer to burn those calories.

This Chinese based company offers low cost ellipticals for competitive prices. The Chinese are known for this kind of stuff. Now, cheap Chinese products mean low cost, low quality materials that it is made out of. Not trying to put Chinese products down, I’m just saying that it might fall apart from frequent use.

All Horizon products are front driven, and look very similar to each other. Now that I’ve put them down slightly, I’m going to say something positive. Their feet holdings are comfortable, and therefore you will want to stay on the machine and lose them calories longer. If you feel the necessary urge you could even run in their bare foot and it would be a pleasure under your soles.

Music Docking Station

Another great attribute to the ellipticals is that a lot of their products use iPod docking stations, which in my opinion is the most important factor to staying on exercise machines. Without some form of entertainment I’m back on the sofa with a packet of hobnobs.

Maintenance

Another downfall however, is that the “ECB” brake drive system is liable to breaking down and needing maintenance.

For a product available from $500 and even less if you find it second hand, it’s a good addition to the house or gym.
