women and elliptical machines
The Diamondback Elliptical is average in price and quality. It is a lightweight elliptical trainer and compact which is useful when space is an issue.

Diamondback Elliptical

This company has been around for quite a while, offering averagely good products at averagely good prices (sorry Diamondback!). From all the other good deals I’ve seen my opinion of good prices and quality is rising, and Diamondback seems to have been left behind a bit.

They have three brands; the 1190Er, the 500Ef, and the 1260Ef. Both the ‘Ef’ brands are front driven, comfortable and adjustable. The 1260Ef is the cheaper of the two, with a flywheel for smooth, simple resistance. It also includes a heart monitor and grips.

What Is Offered

Even after all that, I can’t help but feel disappointed after studying the other brands, which offer a range of programs, music options, multiple resistance levels and more.

Although only being $700, compact and light, it still feels like an average deal, nothing special. The 1190Er model however is your normal rear driven cross trainer, with multiple programs, long strides and 20 resistance levels. It is a decent elliptical, but at approximately $2000, it just seems way too expensive for what it’s offering.

The Last Word

If you can find these products for second hand and inexpensive then it is a good buy, Diamondback ellipticals are known for there reliability and durability, but for what they are offering are at an unrealistic price. Compared to their competitive priced rivals, Diamondback are chasing behind.
